Velim villagers took the panchayat body to task for its failure to stop an illegal construction along the banks of the River Sal.
The villagers also questioned the panchayat body over what they called "wasteful" expenditure of panchayat funds amounting to Rs 20,000 on maintaining a retaining wall in the village located in a private property.
